Presenting brand-new Musical Theatre from some of the UK’s most exciting writing teams.

Don’t miss your chance to see some incredible performances of fresh material whilst the ink is barely dry on the page! Join us for the first in our series of Showtime events for 2025, an electrifying evening of brand-new musical theatre that promises to dazzle and inspire! This one-night-only showcase brings together visionary composers, lyricists, and performers to unveil original works never before seen on stage.

From heartfelt ballads to show-stopping anthems, Showtime offers a front-row seat to the future of musical theatre. Don’t miss your chance to witness the birth of tomorrow’s classics—expect the unexpected and prepare to be moved!

The performers for this showcase will be:

  • Charlotte Haines - trained in musical theatre at Guildford School of Acting (GSA) and is represented by Kerry Foley mngmt. Charlotte has performed professionally in many shows, from UK tours, repertory theatre, pantomimes to cruises, film and TV.  Her credits include - Zara in a workshop of the new musical ‘The return of it’ (The MAST studios, Southampton), Lucy in a brand new adaptation of The Government Inspector, Charlotte was involved in the initial workshops in London and then went on to be in the original for Paul Taylor-Mills, Portia in The Wind in the Willows in Bahrain (produced by Paul Taylor-Mills), Libby in a UK Tour of Animalcolm, a musical adaptation of David Baddiel’s no.1book, Nancy in Gaslight (Pomegranate Theatre), Josephina in Carmen (Union Theatre, London), Elizabeth - Duchess of York in a tour of The King’s Speech (produced by Bill Kenwright and Paul Taylor-Mills on a UK rep tour), vocalist for  Going to A Party for the Disney Junior Channel.  Charlotte also had ten years of playing Snow White and other lead princesses, every Christmas, for Crossroads pantomimes, alongside many celebrity names (Alhambra theatre, Bristol hippodrome, Mayflower theatre and more).
  • Georgy Laulani Raya professional singer, dancer and actor who has a Foundation and a 3 Year Trinity Diploma in Musical Theatre. They have been performing since young, both amateur and professional, Their credits include '20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA' with presenter and actor, Peter Duncan, and 'THE BORROWERS' at the late Nuffield Theatre and graduating training 'THE WEDDING SINGER' as Crystal/Cover Julia Sullivan and 'FOOTLOOSE' as Ethel McCormack. They also performed at the Wembley Arena in 2019 for 'VOICE IN A MILLION' and did a Shakespeare workshop rewriting themes for 'TWELFTH NIGHT' at MAST. Their most recent credit is 'THE POLAR EXPRESS TRAIN RIDE'.
  • Joey Warne - Joey is thrilled to be returning to The Stage Door, to perform at his second Showtime. After previously playing the role of Dhillon in ‘The Return of It’ for Aardvark’s Can’t Jump Productions earlier this year. A lover of new writing, Joey last week was in Birmingham, workshopping the lead role of Burt the Crocodile in ‘It’s A Wonderful Knife’ a new comedy musical inspired by the famous film ‘Crocodile Dundee’.
    Other credits include: Waiter & Man 2 in the UK premier of Broadway’s First Date the musical, Ugly in HONK! The Ugly Duckling Musical (Open Air Production), Nick Piazza in Fame! (Cambridge), The Villain & Ensemble in Singin’ In The Rain (Adelphi Theatre, West End), Tin-Man in The Wizard of Oz (Saffron Hall), Ensemble in the London revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Anyone Can Whistle (Union Theatre), and also originated the roles of Gnasher & Pieface in the workshop for Dennis the Menace the Musical (The BEANO & Sell-A-Door).
    A big lover of UK Pantomime, Joey is next taking on the new role of Day-Zee the Cow in Jack & The Beanstalk this Christmas for KD Theatre Productions. Joey would like to take this opportunity to thank his wonderful parents for championing him and to you all for attending and supporting the exciting first stages of brand new musical theatre writing.
  • Matthew Boyd - Matthew is from Maidenhead, Berkshire and graduated from the Royal Academy of Music. He's a session singer for The Knights, The Best of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and The Era Boys. He’s also been a member of London Contemporary Voices for 6 years and has worked with such artists as Alfie Boe, Jools Holland, Charlotte Church, Emily Sandé and Alexandra Burke. He first worked with ACJ productions in 2016 and is thrilled to be back working with the team on this.
