at The Stage Door

Come and join us on Wednesday 24th April for the first in our series of 'Industry' nights at the Stage Door. Doors are 6.30pm and we will be having guest speakers with a Q&A session afterwards, followed by some networking downstairs in the bar afterwards. So make sure you book your free tickets to join us at this fantastic event and come and network with like-minded artists and creatives in the city.

We are delighted to be welcoming 2 industry experts as guest speakers to Southampton, Sam Quested and Michael Cox.

Sam Quested has been working professionally as a Producer/General Manager for over 6 years. He has worked on over 30 productions which includes award winning West End titles, high profile concerts and UK and international tours.

Sam joined DLAP Group in 2019 as General Manager. His credits include: Bonnie & Clyde (Arts Theatre & Garrick Theatre) Rock of Ages UK tour (2021-2023), The Last Five Years (Garrick Theatre), Curtains UK tour/West End, The Wedding Singer in South Korea and Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre. Sam is currently working on the development of a musical adaptation of ‘Burlesque’ and Bonnie & Clyde UK/Ireland and international tour from 2024.

He previously worked at Club 11 London (now Fourth Wall Live) as their General Manager, previous concerts include; Audra McDonald, Ariana DeBose, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Megan Hilty, Jeremy Jordan, Shoshana Bean, Chita Rivera, Laura Michelle Kelly, Laura Benanti, Sierra Boggess, Kelli O’Hara, Caissie Levy, Keala Settle, Jessica Vosk, Jordan Luke Gage, Zorro, Cinderella and Tori Amos’s musical, The Light Princess. Streaming credits include: 'Live in London' at the Hippodrome and 'Eurobeat - The Pride of Europe’. Most recently Sam worked on tour with Alan Cumming solo show, Alan Cumming Is Not Acting His Age.

Alongside theatre, Sam has also worked extensively in the field of magic for almost 10 years. In 2016 Sam joined the company of the smash hit magic show IMPOSSIBLE, working with some of the greatest magicians in the world. With over 150 performances including a UK tour, London West End (Noël Coward), Beirut, Dubai, Singapore and Araneta Arena in Manila.

Michael Cox is a London based casting director and is one of the partners of Hammond Cox Casting.

Thom & Michael formed Hammond Cox Casting in 2012, combining 15 years of high-end industry experience.

In over ten years of business, they've worked internationally in film, commercial and music video.

Working in partnership, their meticulous, rigorous approach aims to secure an outstanding choice of talent, whatever the brief, across all media.
