Script in Hand

at The Stage Door

The Stage Door will be partnering with Mayflower Studios again this year to continue supporting the local writers who joined the 2024 programme and further develop their work.

Script in Hand is an initiative introduced last year, that has been supporting local writers to develop their work, providing them with the perfect opportunity to work with a local director and actors, which allows them to experience practical exploration that culminates in receiving valuable feedback from audiences. We are delighted to be partnering with Stage Door on this initiative as we seek to support talent across the city and surrounding areas.

This is an exciting collaboration between Mayflower Studios and Stage Door Southampton, which is continuing in 2025 really focusing in on one play in particular that will be performed.

Mayflower Studios is a multi-art form cultural hub presenting and producing theatre, dance, musicals, music, comedy, circus, cabaret, spoken word, visual arts and family shows.
