As a finalist in the BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year 2020, winner of the Rising Star category in the 2019 British Jazz Awards and nominee in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2021, Alex is known to be one of the most in-demand and versatile young saxophonists emerging on the British jazz scene.

Among her inspirations are U.S clarinettists Johnny Dodds, Jimmy Dorsey and Edmond Hall, saxophonists Phil Woods and Sonny Stitt – plus Scott Hamilton and Harry Allen. (Photo: Anne Bennnison)

We host renowned jazz musicians at The Stage Door, on the third Tuesday of each month.

Tickets are available on the door or in advance below: £18, £15 members, £10 for students. Membership is optional and costs £20 per year or £30 for joint membership. Doors open 7.15pm, performances start at 8 pm and finish around 10.30 pm.
